Owl’s Head and Medium Format

Joey | Geetha and Joey | Monday, September 1st, 2008

Geetha, Eagan and I travelled to Maine the weekend of 8/22 to spend some time with my family. The weekend was beautiful, and the time with family was indeed a pleasure… After spending some very high quality time with my dad, we had the opportunity to head to the coast and explore a little State Park in Owl’s Head with my sister and her family (Hey there Allison, Gary and Liam thanks soo much). Geetha will detail that adventure in another post.

This post in particular is to show some additional attempts at using the medium format camera I’ve mentioned in a prior post. Geetha and I have both decided that we’d like to dabble in film, and in particular B&W film. In order to fully explore this medium and to keep costs at a minimum, I’ve decided to relearn how to process film. So from a technical perspective: these shots were made on Kodak TMAX 400, and developed in Kodak HC-110. Once taken, and the negatives processed they were scanned @ ~3200dpi and then manipulated in Adobe Elements…

  1. Well….it would be nice if I actually got to meet Eagan. I think he’s old enough now that I wouldn’t be freaked out by his baby-ness. I appreciate that you guys managed to schedule your Maine trip 4 days before I got home. When are you planning on coming back? I really do like him already.

In regards to the album after this….if Eagan gets to drive the Miata before I do, I’m going to be pissed.
