India here we come…

Joey | Geetha and Joey | Monday, November 28th, 2005

Last year, Geetha and I started what we hope, fates willing, will become a family tradition of traveling over the Christmas holiday. Considering our current “childlessness,” and the fact that she is Hindu, and I am at best agnostic, the Holiday’s just don’t have the draw they used to.

Of course, I do wind up feeling a bit guilty for being away from my family for Christmas, but I think they take my absence in stride knowing that the holiday seasons have never been my favorite times of the year.

Last year we were fortunate to spend a few weeks in Ireland over Christmas, and you can see some pictures from that trip in our photo album. This year, as we have not been home since our wedding in February of 2004, we will be traveling to India to spend time with Geetha’s family.

In recent searches to find things such as car hires, we’ve stumbled across some interesting blogs out there written by westerners living in Chennai, we have added those to our blogroll, and hope you enjoy them.

We still ponder trying to find jobs in Chennai, but honestly wouldn’t know where to begin!

  1. We have enabled posts without registration in attempt to see if people might be inspired to leave us some notes as we travel to India next week.

We know we’re getting a bit of traffic, but no one seems to ever leave responses, so hopefully this might make it less “painful” to do so…
